We know starting something new can bring up a lot of questions. Below are answers to the most common questions we get from prospective Seekers.
What days/hours are required for a SeekNow Field Inspector?
As an independent contractor, you choose your own availability. We’re looking for independent contractors who can maximize their availability to complete inspections so we can maximize our offerings to customers.
How will I know what job assignments I’ll have?
You’ll receive a list of assigned jobs the night prior, based on your availability. Each job will include location and service details so you’re prepared for the next day.
What expenses are mine to cover? What’s reimbursed?
You are responsible for your tools of the trade (ladder, vehicle, safety gear, tablet, etc.). SeekNow covers overnight hotel stays for any job that requires travel beyond a reasonable driving distance.
How does SeekNow ensure quality?
From your first inspection onward, we support you through DRIVE Academy, real-time feedback, and periodic quality reviews. You’ll know exactly what’s expected by your clients, and we’ll help you deliver it.
How long does the Contractor Development program take? Is it paid?
The length varies by person. Some complete it in 2-3 weeks; others may need more time. There’s no pay during the program, as you’re not yet an active 1099 contractor. Once complete, you’re ready to start accepting paid inspections.
Can I be a roofing contractor or adjuster AND a Seeker?
No. To maintain the integrity of our unbiased inspections, we cannot work with anyone actively involved in roofing, adjusting, or related services. However, you may pursue other unrelated contract work.
What is the travel expectation for Seekers?
You’ll typically operate within a 100-mile radius of your home base. Additionally, we may request availability for CAT (catastrophic event) deployments a couple of times per year, each lasting a minimum of two weeks.
